Design Tab loses functionality?

Has anyone else experienced this? When in the Design tab, when you click on an object in the design page preview, the object should be 'selected' and the code should change to the code for that selected object.

Sometimes (many times!) when I click on the design page preview no objects are selectable and the code does not update or change. Am I missing something obvious or is the interface flawed?

This happened to me just now and to 'fix' it I uploaded my site and after the upload hey presto the design page worked ok again.

I too have experienced a similar problem - check this thread... I'm still getting intermittent problems though... hopefully the big A will find ways to make it more stable

The outer layout seems to be the main culprit for this but does happen on a apparently random basis on other deeper elements .. often clicking again resolves for these (nut not for outer layout elements)
