also getting the following error message

An error occurred while transferring files to the web site.

    Possible Cause:
    Network timed out
    Network is down
    FTP server is down
    Remote server disk is full
The permissions on the file or directory on the remote
    server are locked
If the file being sent is a CGI script
(nqxxxxxx.pl or caxxxxxx.pl) someone else may be
using the same CGI script ID as you.
    Recommendations:
    Abort
    Resolution:
    Re-establish your network connection
Be sure the FTP server is running
Try re-installing the web site when the network is not so busy
Make sure the disk is not full on the remote server
Make sure the website and cgi-bin directories
on the remote server are writable
Make sure the files in the cgi-bin and website are writable
Make sure your CGI script ID in the Advanced |
Network Setup... dialog is unique for your web server.

    File: index.html

Login via an FTP app into your hosting account and first of all make sure you have a acatalog and cgi-bin folder within your public area, then you need to make sure they are chmod to 0755.

If you are not sure how to do this, then maybe contact your host for assistance.

Also, have you created your network settings - i.e. is this a new deployment or existing one.

Maybe post your settings without username and password along with who you host with and then others with them can assist you.

        hi thanks for the reply

its an existing deployment and has worked fine in the past. My host group are 123 reg but we use them througha nother company on a resell basis

all permissions are set to owner - read-write-execture
        users read-execute
        group read-execute

        and set to 755

        still not uploading correctly though

here are ther network set up settings. when i run a test its saying it cannot find the path to my CGI-bin which is unusaul as this has never been an issue

          Catalog URL: https://www.beddingcentres.co.uk/acatalog/
          CGI-BIN URL:https://www.beddingcentres.co.uk/cgi-bin/
          codebase: ./
          path from CGIBIN: ../public_html/acatalog/
          Server host: 213.143.15.76
          username: filled in correctly
          pw: filled in correctly
          path to cgi-bin: /cgi-bin/
path from CGI-bin to acatalog: blank
          cgi script 104 extension .pl

          path to Perl Shell: /usr/bin/perl

If they have always been your settings and you have not changed anything, common sense tells me that your hosts have changed something OR they are experiencing problems at the moment. Look on your support pages or contact them and ask them.

All of course, if you have not done anything. This is often proved not to be the case.

Cool, perhaps the first thing to check next time? especially if nothing has changed on your actinic store.
