Hi -
I am starting a new v8 store from scratch.
I have the Actinic sample store uploaded at www.worthydeals.co.uk (the basics seem to work OK).
I have PayPal Website Payments Pro set up as the online payment method (in Test mode at the moment) as I want to test this as an online payment processor.
At present, when you click 'Checkout' you are taken to a page where you are asked for your credit card details (which, when you click 'Next' PayPal will 'invisibly' process for me).
However, this page where credit card details are asked for is on an ordinary non-secure http page at present. This will obviously be a big turn-off to most customers.
I do not have my own SSL certificate for this site. My ISP offers a shared SSL service as part of my hosting package, but I cannot seem to get this to work with Actinic. Am I right in thinking that this is what the Actinic Shared SSL service for £100 p.a. is designed to do? i.e. will it enable me to have this page on a https (secure) page if I select the 'SSL' option in Business Settings.
If so, is it possible to try the Actinic Shared SSL to make sure it will work on my site before paying thw £100? It says on the main Actinic website that you can try it first without payment, but then doesn't explain how. What settings would I need to put into my 'Network Settings - SSL' tab to make it work?
Any clarifications gratefully recieved!
