    £ symbol changed to L

Few days ago I started updating Actinic v8 from different computer. I installed v8, patched it and imported latest snapshot. All prices used to be in £100 format, but on my new computer all appearances of £ changed to L. It changed the pound symbol even in product names.

I dont think it is the problem with server encoding but something with Actinic and my local settings that cannot interpret the £ symbol correctly. I now use all of the local settings for Czech Republic. There is no way I could type in £ symbol into price textfield in product details. When I copy £ from the textfile and paste it into Actinic, it keeps changing to L.

Actinic picks up this detail from the Regional settings in Windows.

You will have to use the html representation of £ hardcoded into your layout.

Hi, If your regional settings on your new system had to be adjusted to English (UK) it is worth checking your keyboard settings as well as your dictionary and standard character set as these can sometimes produce some "interesting" adjustments to the normal and extended character sets.
