    Installed SSL Providers

Hi Everyone. I am trying to get ready to install SSL. Reading help files etc tells me that I have an "Installed SSL Providers" tab.Installed it again from the cd and have run the .exe file. Cannot find the thing anywhere. I am running the latest V8.
    Any ideas please.

If I understand what you're referring to...

Check in Business Settings - Payment and Security tab that you have a check against SSL on the lower LHS. When this is checked then if you go to Web - Network Setup you will see an additional tab to configure SSL.

Yes, I've done that but there is not an "installed SSL Providers " tab there. I have bought a Thawte SSL123 and hoped that I could use the tab to get details on the installation there

No you have to install the SSL cert into your webspace. once SSL is install correctly you then simply use the tick box on the payment and security tab to tell actinic t use it.

you will need to ask your hosts if / how you can install the certificate, or indeed if you bought the cert from your host they would have already installed it for you.

          Ssl

I have been informed that the certificate has been installed on the server. I have checked the SSL box and run test.
I get an error message "an error occured in the secure channel support" followed by
"The test script failed to execute on the web server. The error could be caused by several things. Check the path to the Perl shell, the CGI script extension, the path to CGI-BIN, and the CGI-BIN URL. This error could also occur if your web site is out of disk space or your web server is not configured to accept POSTs to CGI scripts."
I know the space is there. I have exported the settings -

            Hi,

Have you been able to resolve this as yet? I would suggest testing the settings with SSL turned off, if they pass, then go onto the issues there.

Your host may have to set up a symbolic link between the secure and non secure folders. A search for 'symbolic link' will provide you with the necessary information.

            example:
            http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=25976

            Kind regards,
