Can version 7 actinic download orders from a version 8 site

we have 2 sites, both have been made with actinic 8

but our man in ireland has only got version 7, so do i need to send him version 8 to install or can he continue using version7

i suppose as the catalogues are different he cant.....just checking though

He will need V8 to download V8 orders.
