Copy and Paste

Please , Can Any one, tell me " why is that, if you are copying a product without Component it copies Ok , But if you have a product with One , the system crashes "

To be honest, it should work but I know, from experience, that sometimes it doesn't.

I have some products that wil copy and paste with components/choices etc with no problems but I also have some that refuse to and I have had to re-create the product again.

As for why?
I don't know.... but my V7 site used to do it too sometimes

Might be worth compacting your databases to see if this helps?

That doesn't happen for me Jeff, sounds like something has buggered up. Have you tried compacting the database, see if that cures it first, that solves many problems. In the housekeeping menu.

Yes I have tried all the known solutions, the other problem is when you move your section from one position to another again the system stops responding ( If your product have components/choices , You lose the comount after the restarting the program ), So you have a section with Products and NO components/choices on any of the Products .
My PC has Win xp pro/2.8/40GB/512mb/128mb vido card...... so that can not be the problem..

Sorry Jeff, no other ideas here, gotta be system specific though as i've never had it. Maybe worth registering with actinic support as a long shot and installing it on second system to test.

yep!
Because some have <br> at the end of the html for name (leftover from V7)
I haven't been through the whole site to remove them where necessary yet.
