    Changing theme - not responding

Is it usual that when you make any alteration in the 'theme' i.e. a colour change, clicking apply is followed by a long wait; the computer goes into 'not responding' for a short while before eventually showing the changes. All takes about 20-25 seconds. My computer is fairly new and quite powerful so it has nothing to do with that. Anyone else experienced this? It's quite frustrating when you want to quickly run through various possible colour shemes.

    There can be a delay.

Yes, there is, but does your computer also 'not respond' for a little while, or is that just mine?

Are you using Vista, the reason i asked is i have a noticable difference on my vista m/c compared to the xp one.

Although my vista is faster with the day to day stuff (better processor and more ram) there is a delay with any of these changes, actinic has to change every page or colours schemes or both and this actualy reqires alot of work in the back ground, i do not know much about vista but it seems to want to check everything you do before it does it. I am just sumising here

Yes, it is Vista. Now you mention it I've seen this behaviour before, but not before I got Vista. Sometimes slow with my old computer and xp, but not in this way i.e. freeze - 'not responding' - white screen momentarily - freeze - Ok.

          It's a drag.

Yep - Thats Vista, many here do not like it, me i have yet to get a blue screen of death and although many bits of software dont function aswell as the could, i quite like it though. It will o nly be a matter of time before software catches up. Actinic will probably be V9
