    Problem on trial v8 start-up

    Hi,

    I have loaded v8 and am in the process of getting things sorted out on the upgrade whilst I still have v7 live and working on the same PC. In the last few days on starting up v8 I get the error message 'Actinic has encountered a problem and will have to close'. After it closes I try again and always on the second attempt everything is OK again.

    Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this? I thought it might be a conflict with v7 but it happens even if I haven't opened v7 - its not a major problem - just a niggling worry.

    Grateful for any thoughts anyone has? Thanks in adavnce.

    Hi Ian

    Please try compacting your Databases through HouseKeeping | Compact Databases from the menus within the Actinic Software and see if that makes a difference. If the problems persist would it be possible for you to do a reinstall and before reinstalling make sure no blank Actinic V8 folders are left of the PC.
