Redesigning Catalog Client in Designer

Sometime ago I designed a site in V8 Designer and deployed a site snapshot to a client who is using Catalog Client.

The client now wants me to do some redesign work to the main design and change some embedded code (within a fragment, so nothing serious) I did for him in the site.

He sent me a snapshot of his site, but when I imported this into my V8 designer version all the 'design' features are turned off. I had expected that these would work.

The option in business settings to re-enable the design tab is greyed out

What is the best approach for me to make the required changes?

I have found the answer!

Close Actinic
Open Regedit
navigate to:
HKLM\Software\actinic\catalog8\sites\NAMEOFSITE

Change the 'DesignChanges' key from N to Y

Restart Actinic and then you can enable the 'Design Changes' option on the Options tab in business settings.

Probably not an offical method but it worked!
