Discounts problem with associated products

Hi - Have set up product groups with discounts, based on quanity, (which are working fine for individual products).

However, when choosing an associated product (which is also available to buy separately), set up with components, (say, a protective bag for the main product), the discount for the main product is being applied to the associated product - when it should be using its own, different discount - which it does correctly if you only buy the associated product! If you see what I mean.

How do I make the separate discounts apply when choosing the associated product with the main product?

That will have to go onto a wish-list, it is already in there, I will add a vote on your behalf. It is working as designed at the moment as a component/attibute/choice of the product will will be treated as part of the product and the discount applying to the main product alone will be effective in this case.
