Don't!
If you're going to delete a product that features in your marketing list...deleted the best seller/new product listing FIRST or Actinic will hate you forever!!
I've just removed some of my items from my catalog (they were duplicate items but with slightly different product references) and these items were in the best sellers and new products listings.
I didn't think anything of it...just thought "I'll change the marketing lists to point to the other listing when I've cleared out the catalogue"
Not a good idea.
It handled the upload ok...listed items 1-7 (minus the deleted item) instead of 1-6 in the sidebars... but when I came to change the references in the marketting menu, it crashed...EVERY time
"Actinic has encountered a problem and needs to close...etc" popped up every time I tried to select "New Products" or "Best Sellers" from the Marketting Menu
I had to go into the databse and change them there (which, ironically, is much blimmin' quicker to do!) and now Actinic is all happy again
Just a word of warning though, make sure you delete all references to products you are planning to delete in the Marketting lists BEFORE removing them from the catalogue
