Card Detail Problems wrong card designations

have a new problem in v8.51 to add to my list !!

on the store if some one pick say Mastercard as there card type and then enters the N0 for a switch card ( which would require valid from and issue n0 etc ) the site still accepts the switch card N0 as a valid mastercard N0 ? this was never the case in V4 , 5 6 or V7

We have noticed the same thing since going live with 8.5.

A few customers have presumably selected Mastercard and entered Mastro Details.

Never had it before in 7 but it did used to be called Switch and not Maestro.

So is this a user unable to read issue or has something changed in checking the correct card info?

It is the part of actinic that checks the card designation type , got to be

IE mastercard starts 5

switch/maestro starts 6

ETC V8.5 is not working a mare on a live site for us as we are having to call 10-15 customers a day for valid from and issue N0's makes us look like real idiots not impressed.
