Actinic running slow

hi. recently loaded actinic onto a different pc after running it on my laptop. The spec on the pc is better then the laptop but actinic is now running incredibly slow on the pc. Any ideas to why this is? or how do sort it out?

Is Vista involved somewhere in this? and can you elaborate on 'slow', needs to be far more specific, slow covers numerous possibilities.
