Error: Could not locate the product reference.

    Hi,

Fairly new to Actinic, have configured my shop and started to add products.

Configured MS IIS 6.0 and Perl.

I have uploaded the site however when I click to add a product to my cart I get an error "Error: Could not locate the product reference".

I have searched and as recommended changed the text on the add to cart button to purchase however this has not helped.

Can anyone give me any idea where I am going wrong?

    Many Thanks

Are you using the latest version and have you been amending anything in the cart/checkout pages? Make sure you are on latest version and revert any cart/checkout pages back to factory settings and see if it fails then.

I beleive I am using the latest version only purchased from Actinic a couple of weeks ago.

I am not sure what you mean by "ammending anything in the cart/checkout pages", the only thing I have done is introduced by own product referencing but when this error occured I allowed Actinic to assign a reference to products and I still got the error.

Could it be anything to do with Perl Scripts on IIS 6 or folder permissions?

      Thanks again for your help.

Have you tried a purge and refresh, might be a problem with the cat files

Could you post the exact text of the error you are getting, to do a purge and refresh you go to the help / troubleshooting. Also do a network settings test (in web / network settings).

This is the Error that occurres when I click add to basket

                  "A General Script Error Occurred

                  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error: Could not locate the product reference.
                  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Press the Browser back button and try again or contact the site owner"

I will try the network test and the purge/refresh and let you know if that helps.

Do you mean change the product ID to something else? I am not sure what you mean by script ID. This is all very new to me

Ok I have changed the script ID, compacted the Databases and refreshed the site and still no good, still getting exactly the same error.

Could it be to do with permissions on the server, i beleive they are all set as per the setup guide I found on the Actinic site.
