    adding subscription forms

    Hi,
we are going to upgrade to V8 soon but are running into problems with our subscription forms. In V7 they are a simple copy of the "Text only" template, with the relevant code. We have 3 different forms, all of which are visible on the site.
When upgrading to V8, the forms are not copied over, so we now have lovely pages indicating that students etc. can create their accounts, but none of the fields etc. are visible in V8. And we are having serious problems getting those fields to show!
In fact, we're getting nowhere with them. Anybody any ideas?
    Thanks.

Are you sure the layouts are not being copied over? If they are in the v7 site they should all be there and upgraded.. check in the Library to see if the old layouts are listed .. if they are there you may need to assign them to the selector so you can pick them from the layout tab back in the content tree.

      Hi,

the "Text only" fragment did indeed copy over, no problem. But the customised ones, with all the code in them, did not. We have the code saved in notepad, so where do we put it to recreate the forms? That really is the problem, where do we put it?

Duplicate the upgraded layout in the library (right click | copy) .. you can then rename the layout to something useful.. double click to edit and add you new code. If using old NETQUOTEVAR etc you will need to use the new <actinic> variables instead.

Thank you! Just got round to doing it, and it works beautifully. the <actinic> bit was the one that was making our life difficult.
