    Preview Panel Locking Actinic

I've obviously done something very very wrong to the layout section links and it's got itself into some sort of preview fit where it's taking ages (I've left it in excess of an hour) trying to get the preview panel to build itself.

    Application will not respond.

Is there a way to override the preview panel so I can correct the design code?

    Have you got a snapshot?

No, I'd been working on a version 6 upgrade to 8 on a site containing a lot of products/sections.

V6 snapshot Imported... converted... tinkered with....

I can only see that a reinstall would work, but considering it's a multi-site version I think that's a bit drastic.

I start up Actinic and it immediately tries to build a preview and if I try to access any drop downs etc it will immediately say "Not Responding" in the title bar. I can leave it an hour plus and nothing. I'm thinking (hoping) there must be an override key press or something to start without the preview panel kicking off?

If you already have a second site in existence, you can use the command switch to open actinic with focus on that (working) site, switch off the preview window and then change site.

Aha! I'll have to try that when I'm in the office tomorrow! Thanks!

Note to Self (and future readers):

Command Line suffix (START > Run > Cmd):-

            "C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Catalog.exe" /s Site1

will start the software with the 'Site1' site loaded
