payment type based on location

Hi All searched everywhere for this so its a new post

trying to find a way if possible to limit the payment types to the location ? IE IF UK or Ireland ETC then normal choice of 4 payment methods INC Credit card ETC , IF France or the EU then not to execpt cards only Bank Transfer ( Pro Forma Invoice in my payment choice ) any body have a clue on this one ?

PS V8 is still bending my Mind !! But only on days with a "D" in the word LOL

Certainly not possible via Actinic, as it would have no way of knowing where some one was buying from before it uploaded the files to the server. There may be a way to manipulate the drop down options by javascript during the checkout phase, dependant on what country the user selects. Someone with a better knowledge of javascript may be able to help there.

Paul - have you tried using the 'Limited By Locations' checkbox in 'Business Settings | Payment and Security'. You can then configure which countries see which payments method.

Ok may be missing something here got the list on the site, removes the bulleted list on payments if i select Belgium for instance but then still gives the card type choice for the card , www.itcsales.co.uk if anyone would like to take a look

Ah - this doesn't work for specific credit card types - only particular payment methods. You can't stop certain countries using certain cards. Sorry about that.

Oh well thanks Chris its part of the way there , just wanted EU to use Pro Forma Invoice only and for the card menu to be void or blank, will keep looking thanks again
