    Banding Postage and Packing costs.

I need to have my postage and packing costs split so that orders from 0.01p - £10.00 are £3.50 and orders £10.01 up are £7.25?
I am getting rather annoyed! I can't seem to set this up correctly, can anyone help me?

Have you had a look in our 'shipping' forum or had a read of the help within actinic, it is very good at explaining things?

      Welcome Susie

I am concerned at the high price for the postage £7.25 is going to put most people off unless they have no choice but to use your site

I think the forum would be in agreement that its better to keep the postage down and add extra to the goods

To me anything over a fiver for postage unless its a large purchase of about £50 or so is going to put me off buying

I certainly agree Chris, shipping is a real turn off at the moment, cheap or free shipping is almost mandatory IMO.

Thanks guys I do agree about the high shipping costs, although due to the massive size of many of our orders its something I cannot help!
I read up on the shipping advice, thanks very much!

I would still be inclined to load some of the shipping cost onto the product price to reduce the balance.

Buying an item at £10.50 and then having and additional 75% (or whatever it is) added on top as carriage would force me to hit cancel. It is a proven fact people would rather spend £20.00 as £18.00 product + £2.00 delivery rather than £10.00 product + £10.00 delivery ... even though they are still paying £20.00.

You may consider adding new bands in there to spread the load and the breaks points further.

Could not agree more, i have some items, more exspensive down as FREE Delivery, others you pay for, some is at £7.95 but this is normaly less than 10% of the product value.

Actually the Free delivery is something i want to look at, as i have the weight set to zero for these items, yet the special delivery comes out wrongly priced becasue the weight is wrong, another of these jobs, now WERES LEES THREAD ON SHIPPING I know there is one here somewhere
