Computer Crash Can I Restore Actinic

I've had a PC crash badly but managed to run a Linux distro on it and copy all my Actinic data before I rebuilt it. I think I have all the original files without actually having a formal backup. Can I restore from here?

It might help but you will still need to reinstall Actinic and then import your last snapshot. The snapshot also contains your security encryption key as well the registry information which your file recovery probably hasn't got.

You may be able to get away with inporting an old snapshot if you don't have a recent one and then copying over the data you recovered overwriting the install/imported files.

A good backup regime is essential.

Thanks Duncan I tried this successfully, I also tried (out of interest) creating a new store, and then copying the old files over the top and this worked too.
