Item free when spending more than £X

Hi all,

Is there any way of making a discount that makes a cirtain item free when spending more than £X (£50 in my case)

Im having great trouble trying to get it to work.

Hi Dan

This can be done using the Cart Contents Discount feature (not available in Catalog and Catalog Client)

To set this up, you will need to :

1. Create a product group which contains all the products except the one to be given free

2. In Marketing | Discounts and Surcharges Settings | Cart Contents, create a New discount, and set the Based On to Value Including or Excluding Tax

3. Enter the trigger amount as £50 and select the Product group from the drop-down list.

4. Under Reward Type, select " % off extra product" and discount amount as 100.00

5. Below this, the Product Radio button should be highlighted. You can choose the free product from this list. Apply changes and OK.
