failed checkouts

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has a way of getting the email address from customers early in the checkout so that if the checkout isnt completed, we could email them to ask why or survey them etc.

If they've got as far as entering their address and email at the checkout then the information should be in the session file on the server. This will also have all the details on what products are in their cart.

It shouldn't be too difficult to make a regular copy of all the session files. These could then be parsed to bring all the information into an excel spreadsheet or whatever.

You should be able to find more information on session files in the forum. They've been discussed quite a bit in the past.

and if anyone from Actinic reads this - it would be a good idea in the next version to have this data available in a report for all the none coders out there - it is really important analytics.
