      Boo.

      Doesn't work as expected.

It just adds the 'Dummy Product Both' to cart rather than the components for it.

      Any other ideas?

in the general tab for the 2 components for your "dummy product both", do you have "component as separate orderline" ticked?

Not sure whether the overall main product is going to obey this but it's worth a try

          I do.

The problem seems to be that actinic will not add more than one product to the cart at a time, unless you have 'single add to cart button per page' and several products on the page.

So I guess i'll be taking that route - see if i can amend the layout to show what i want it to (checkboxes or radio buttons depending on the product), and a 'both' or 'all' option and see if i can get it to do what i need.

but that's a job for next week now...

          thanks for the ideas!

this is another possible route, Dave

            Main Product
            2 optional components (with checkboxes)
            One for Product A
            One for Product B

Customer can select one or the other or check both boxes.

If there is no discount for buying "both" over buying them separately, this should work.

              I tried that.

Had to amend the layout to allow checkboxes for selection.
And it doesn't work. It still only adds one product to the cart at a time.

Ah well... I'll get it sorted next week.

                I don't know why that doesn't work.
I have a similar set up HERE and it fully controls the stock and adds to cart for all items selected.

Hmm. So it does. Not sure what's up with my setup then!

That's great that it works though - I'll work on it next week and see what I've cocked up...

                  Thanks Tracey!
