Missing Tabs

OK so we have already been through variables missing from products but now we have some tabs missing from some (not all) products, i.e. Product, Layout & Products.

I have tried re indexing and so on but makes no difference.

although it might be a slightly different issue - mine were user created variables - and user created tabs not appearing, this post is the solution that worked for me, both for missing variables and missing tabs - it involves altering the database though, so not for the faint hearted,
and backup, backup, backup...

and if your in a multi-site version of Actinic I'd try it in a copy of the site before giving it a go on the live one.

I haver already been through both of these and tried Wayne's idea but they are not the same thing.

I already have the variables (OEM and UDV) issue and despite ideas from forum and support can't solve those.

The current problem is that I can't even see the tabs for some (not all) products. If I create a new product the tabs are there no probs.

Without anything else all I can do is work through and create new products for those without tabs.

All we need on top of other Actinic problems....

Having been over the whole thing several times and several hours work I eventually managed to make CD's solution work;

I am not sure why it didn't the first time but TBH there were several tabs and many variables missing. It even differed from one section or product to the next.

I got the tabs back but then had to go through them and add back every single variable one at a time (we have many UDVs) and then check other tabs where I have found the odd variable missing. When you do this it gives a warning to say that data in a variable will be lost but, so far, it seems to all be there.

I have found that all the UDV's (mainly Norman's MultiImages) for products where the Tabs disappeared were wiped.

We now have to go through the entire catalog adding these back.
