Payment method - direct bank transfer

Is there a way to do this?

I thought we used to be able to do this (pre v8, dunno which one but we've used Actinic since v2... )

    Thanks.

    Tak

You just rename one of the currently unused payment options to suit your needs. Middle column specifies website text displayed.

Settings | Business Setting | Payment and Security

Add "Invoice with Order" as a payment method and change the website description to say "Direct Deposit"

      You're done.

        I've tried that, however:

I've noticed that the emails (receipt confirmations etc) AND the reports (data entry, invoice etc) with "Payment Method" details would not take on the "Web Description".

        Eg the email would say:
Payment Method : Invoice with Order

        should be:
        Payment Method : Direct Deposit

Do I need to modify all the email templates & re-do all the Crystal Reports?
        (if so, how?)
        or is there another way?

Strange. My emails and reports all use the web description.

Maybe try the elixir of Actinic life and compact your database.

            Just double checked:

The data entry report is okay.

            However the email:

            ==================================================

            __Order Status_______________________________
            Order Number: OC015130000040
            Shipping Method: Parcelforce Global Priority
            Payment Status: Pending
            Date Received: 29/8/2007 21:34 GMT
            Payment Method: INVOICE

            ==================================================

            And the settings were:
Payment Method = Invoice with Order
Web Description = Cheque/Postal Order Sent Separately

Tried compacting databases, still the same.

              Just tried following:
              Payment Method=Cheque on Delivery
              Web Description=Direct Bank Transfer

              Email Result:

              __Order Status_______________________________
              Order Number: OC015130000040
              Shipping Method: Parcelforce Global Priority
              Payment Status: Pending
              Date Received: 29/8/2007 21:34 GMT
              Payment Method: CHEQUE ON DELIVERY

Do a search for 'invoice' on the text page and you should find it under 'shopping cart/receipt'

                  Can't see it.

                  I'm assuming it's: "Design" > "Text..."

Did a search on "INVOICE", and answered to search all pages, but nothing comes up that is relevant.

Sorry Tak, I just remembered that I did make a change under Design | Text

Do a search for "Payment Method" and locate "CHEQUE ON DELIVERY" or what ever you'd like to change and edit it.

                      I've found it!

Thanks, I'll have a mess around with it now...

Is it possible to have different receipt pages depending upon payment methods. For instance payment by credit card produces the standard receipt page and payment by Moneygram giving a receipt page that has additional details of how to send money by moneygram.

                          Owen,

This is not possible, like Louise says, this would not only require quite extensive perl knowledge but would also involve a lot of work and extensive script changes to get it working in that fashion.

                          Kind regards,
