Variable 'Product Id' used out of context

Transfered website by snapshot to new machine - looks identical to site on old machine. attempt upload, get coding error message - there are 18938 errors! I don't understand this, surely when you import a snapshot it sets everything as it was on the creation site? The site was uploading fin from the previous machine, apart from the occaisional FTP error which vanished ith a retry.
Thanks in advance for any help, I am very nervous of diving into the underlying 'computer speak stuff' in the design tab area!

Are both Actinic installations using exactly the same version of Actinic?

If you've uploaded from the main computer, post the URL as it's possible to determine the version from the live site. I can do that and report back to you. Also post the laptop version (via Help / About).

          Versions

          on new machine - 8.5.0.0.0.0.HBKA

I did get a lot of support from Actinic when I upgraded the system from 7 to 8 and a lot of tweaking went on - I just followed instructions, but I used the version 8 disc to install on this machine, whereas I was sent an upgrade link for the original.

Your live site is 8.5.1.0.0.0 HFUA so just install 8.5.1 (from www.actinic.co.uk - the v851_HIZA on the 30 Day Trial link is fine) on your laptop and the import should be fine.

              Thanks Norman,
you are turning into my knight in shining armour!
I can't find the correct version on Atinic's site and don't know where I got it from, it must have been sorted in the tooing and froing that went on when I was upgrading the system for EPOS. I have trawled through all the communications but am unable to find a link. Am I missing something? is it sitting on Actinics website, or will i have to wait till Monday and speak to the support team?

Go here where it says 30 day trial software, click on Actinic Ecommerce v8.5.1 - that will allow you to download the HIZA version that Norman's referring to:
                http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/downloads.htm

This is the full version - just enter your key.

I am getting exactly the same error warning and it is affecting over 300 entries.

What happened is I have Business Multi-Site. When I do a back-up I grab all of the folders under my main site (so all sub folders with other domains are grabbed) and copied to my external drive. I did this around 2 weeks ago. Soon after that on one of the sites I added in another 20 lines (circa) and uploaded them.

Around a few days after my kindly brother, whilst upgrading my hard disc, wiped the hard disc clean and I had to run a fresh install. Therefore what I did was managed to reload my Actinic on and copy all of the subdirectories for the sites back over. However the 1 site needed updating. So I grabbed the online pictures, text & price - put them onto Actinic as new products again (in the same category) and when I upload I get these error warnings.

I wondered that if I removed the items from the directory and moved them to another directory and did up upload and then site refresh if that would remove the coding error, but it didn't. I am at a loss as to what I can next do? Advice welcome

If you double-click on the error it should take you to the layout that has the problem.
