    Multi-Site Order Processing

    Hi,

I have had a poke around and cannot find a definite answer to this one!

We are reasonably new to Actinic, using Multi-Site 8.5.1 and it has only just come to my attention that the orders tab is different for each site… therefore we receive an email notifying us of an order and then it’s like trying to find a needle in a hay stack trying to locate the order. Admittedly, we could have a different email address for each site, but with several it is not ideal.

The e-commerce software that we have just changed from had one central orders window for all sites and then a drop-down to jump to each sites orders, which saves a lot of time activating new sites. It didn’t occur to me until now that we can’t have either one central combined orders section or at least a quick method of switching between sites

I am really hoping that someone can tell me there is a way around this… please!

    Lucy

Thanks... it's probably what I'll have to do.

I was just hoping that there would be a less time consuming way of handling orders... having gone from the old system to this it just seems very irritating but I guess we'll get used to it!

You can change the perl to reformat the order numbers so there might be a way of adding something to the order number to make it obvious which site the order came from (Don't know exactly how to do this but a forum search should give you the answer).

Our One Stop Order Processing product has a drop down box for changing sites and is quick to load, so that might help you out as well - there is a free trial and more information at this URL :

We have a similar problem running multiple sites so introduced a web page that runs a script on each site to show where the order and payment has come from.

          See This Thread

The only thing extra that we have done is create a page with frames with each script from each site in a different frame.

We have set up a rule in Incredimail that when an order or payment is received we get a different e-mail notifier on the screen. All we then do is refresh the orders page to see where the order has come from.
          Regards
