    Snapshot import error message

    Hello all.

has anyone experienced this error message during an import of a snapshot and if so, do you know of a fix?

    FATAL ERRORS
(File ExportFiles.cpp, Line 176) - Archive error 13 - Extract selected files call failed
Library error - Error creating file C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Sites\Site1\prod_images\S30503WH.jpg ! has been caught.

I have tried all the normal things like purging, refreshing, closing down, etc but to no avail. Any advice would be gratefully received.
    Many thanks
    Rob

    error message

I have tried shutting everything down and then rebooting (the machine, not just the programmes!)

Am tidying up the hard drive as have read elsewhere it could be the early signs of hard disk failure - that's worrying.
    Cheers

indeed it is, but it could easily be another problem.

i'd suggest finding another computer and testing your snapshot, becasue although it says error creating, it may actually mean 'error extracting'.

      your snapshot may be screwed.

Thanks for that, I tried it and it imported fine so, I can only imagine there is an issue with the machine I am trying to bring the site into. Therefore, can only assume it is not an Actinic problem.

Oh well, back to the drawing board! thanks so much for your help though.
        Kind regards

          I had a similar issue.

My snapshot was on CD and I would get a fatal error when attempting an import. Actinic support suggested saving the snapshot to the destination computer then importing. I simply saved the snapshot to the desktop, imported from there and it worked.

          Hope this helps.

            Mmmm

I appear to have tried everything. Now reinstalling the software so, fingers crossed I'll be up and running again before too long!
            thanks for the advice though.

Also check that prod_images\S30503WH.jpg isn't a read-only file (in Windows Explorer, right click it and select Properties).
