      Hi Roy,

Apologies for this thread not being seen to for so long. I would suggest raising a support query at http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm , it would be useful if you could go to 'Help | Troubleshooting' and click on 'Run ActDiagnose ...', copy and paste the results to a notepad document and then send that to the person responding to you. Exact error messages too would be really useful.

      Kind regards,

        I've started getting it now...

I've just started suffering from this in the last few days....

        v8.5.3 IDHB

        Win XP sp2

        2Gb memory

It happens on a site with 5000 products, 75% of which are SPPP.

It has only been happening since 8.5.3 and/or converting to SPPP (which I did shortly after moving to 8.5.3) but I can't tell which of these may have caused it.

It happens either when I'm uploading (checking HTML) or when i'm taking a site snapshot. No pattern to it.

I'll phone support in the morning.

On the basis of this problem, I've ordered another 4Gb.... surely I won't get this with 6Gb RAM.....

        Time for bed I suppose.

I was told XP can only run a max of 3.6Gb ram, so you may be wasting your money.

Extra memory will not help - as Lee says only 64bit editions can access more user memory than about 3Gb. You need to look at the memory usage on your machine in general - it may not only be related to Actinic.

Doh! Stupid stupid stupid!! XP supports upto 4GB if you can configure it correctly.

              I've bought a pair of 2Gb units - I'll swap them for 1Gb's.
