currency by country selection

Hi All,
I am just going to start a project in which the client would like the store to display products prices across the site in euro or gbp depending on choice selected by customers on a home splash page.

He doesn't want the price displayed in euros next to gbp but for the price in euro or gbp to be the primary and only currency shown (depending on the choosen option).

Has anyone done this or know how it can be done using only one catalogue? Or as I think, will he have to have 2x seperate stores running alongside one another?

Could this be achieved by forcing some sort of customer group on the click of a button?


Any help would be appreciated.

Actinic works internally in the home currency, regardless of whether a second currency is displayed. So even if you were to inhibit the display of the home price, you'd still be accepting payment in that currency.

I think you may need 2 separate stores in order to do this end-to-end in the 2 currencies.

I kinda new this was the case but wondered if there were any wizz kids out there who had some sort of work around. Any more thoughts, keep me posted,
