I have a series of products on my website which require the user to select a component (tick the box) before adding to cart. How can I make this compulsory so that they can't just click 'Add to cart' without making a selection? It's causing me problems because if they do this the item shows in the shopping cart as £0.00! The component works out the price based on their selection.

I'm assuming there is more than one component that the customer is making a selection from?
Offer the "components" as choices? with "is optional" box unchecked in the main component so it defaults to one and customer have to select a different one if required?
Without knowing the exact set up, it's difficult to say more specificallyTracey

Hmmm, that would be a bit awkward given that i've already been through and set it up already with components.
The way it works is simply that each product design has a name and there are four things you can buy under that name. These are: single duvets, double duvets, 54" curtains and 74" curtains. People select which of those they want for each product design, currently i've got the choices as components. I've got four hidden products containing the prices for those four components, so each component picks up the price from the relevant hidden product (to save me having to keep inputting the price every time)
Another problem i'm faced with is what do I do if someone wants to order more than one of a component? Currently is has just a tick box and will only let you order one.Cheers
Stuart
