ProductReference variable in customer email

Hi all,

Does anyone know how I can include <actinic:variable Name="ProductReference" /> in my customer email?

I've inserted it into the layout, but I get the 'used out of context' error.

Any help would, as ever be much appreciated.

I don't think it works in emails, Simon.
simple as that really.
It's frustrating because I've tried inserting it (and order total variables) before but, for some reason, many of the variables don't work in the email templates and there's not much you can do about it, unfortunately.

What sort of context are you wanting to use the product reference in in your emails?
You could select to "show references on website" option which then adds them into the order emails (as well as on site)..and then comment out or block them from actually appearing on the product pages (I tried this before, it works)
