Help for new user

Completely new to this and now stuck on what is possible an easy problem !
When I look at a product in the design area if have the item displayed twice

one above my company name and one in the correct place
what have I changed to cause this.

I would re apply the theme you started with which will sort all the problems.

Also doing this would probably overwrite various settings etc

Yes it would but it does not look like much ahs been done to the site so IMO it would be faster and easier to start again with no errors than try and fix things.
