    search results

    Hi,

Stupid question, but where do you set the layouts for the search results page? I cannot find them, I thought they were in site options?

Also, "/cgi-bin/ss002207.pl?page=search&PR=-1&TB=A&SS=acrylic" - what does the page= bit refer to, can you have different search result pages?

    Thanks,
    Paul.

Search results page available from the drop down box on design tab.

The search result is a dynamic page which has info passed to it dependent on what somebody searched for, so there is literally infinite numbers of pages but they are created on the fly as someone searches.

thanks guys, I'll go give that a try.

I didnt make myself clear about the results page. I was wondering whether you can have different search result templates - so one search method could display one template and another a different template.

if not, whats the page=search bit for in the script address?

      thanks,
      Paul.

        Hi,

I just had the chance to look at this and I have also managed to not make clear the layout question either!

Basically, I can edit the "search results page bulk area" (either in library or using the drop down box), but I want to change the other layouts associated to that page. At the moment, my search page uses the same top layout that my other brochure pages use.

How do I do that? I had assumed it would be within the settings > site options > layout page, but I cannot see search results.

        Thanks,
        Paul.
