Customer VAT Numbers

HI There,

My client wants to be able to make EU customers with a VAT code VAT exempt on the web site. As part of this process their database programmer needs to be able to store the customers VAT Numbers in their database.

Could this information come down as part of the order or will they need to retrieve it separately?

Actinic standard behaviour after you enable 'Exemption allowed' in Business settings | Tax tab, is to present the prompt you specify for entry of a valid VAT number and retain that information in the order.
