    Corrupt Order needs deleting

I've had a corrupt order hanging around in my 'pending orders' for months now.

I only say corrupt as when you attempt to open the order, actinic closes.

I've opened the database (not really an area i'm comfortable with), opened the orders but cannot find it.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to where this order may be within the database?

    TIA

Have you tried right-clicking on it and selecting to delete it that way?

        Right Click > Delete
        - causes actinic to close

        Right Click > Export
        - i can't see an export option from the right click list

I think you might need the export options switched on in business settings.

it might actually say ReExport to Files (although I've never figured out why)

back up and then compact the database

then try and delete the offending order

I've switched on the Export Options in Business Settings (thanks Lee) and tried Export to Files but under the File Export Settings it wants me to specify an Order File - what or where should this be?

                  TIA

Thats just a file where you want the info to go to into, just create a dummy one, usually called 'orders.csv' i think. I presume its just asking you where you want to put it. You define it in business settings from memory, although i did think it put some automatic choices in for you. Can't check sorry on an upload.

                      Thanks again.

I had to rename all the files under the Files Export Settings - weird

But the order has now gone.

It had been happily sitting there (and bugging me daily) since 19th January 2007 and I thought after upgrading to v8.5.1 that I should really do something about it

I have a very long "to do" list you know

blimey, you must have the patience of a saint LOL

It exports different parts of the order (orderlines, customer info) etc to different files, that's why you needed more than one file specifying to export to

I'm not sure they know who I am anyway. Just someone called Daddy that turns up once in a while to pay the bills.

Sad but true, and has just reminded me the hall light still hasn't been replaced after about 6 months. why is it the jobs that should only take 2 mins to fix often lapse for 6 months
