    search engine optimisation

This is just a quick question in relation to how Actinic designed websites fair in search engine optimisation.

With the way Actinic is designed, would it be correct to think that the design causes no issues with web site search engine submission and is also easy to navigate round to be indexed in search engine directories?

I have submitted our new site map to google and I haven't really changed or messed with the original layout or design in Actinic and covered all the revelant key words to our site.

    Thanks

This is just a quick question
There is no such thing as a quick SEO question - out the box Actinic is search engine friendly - how well it performs in terms of rankings depends on many other factors.

Search the forum as there are hundreds of threads about SEO and Actinic.

For your particular site then a url would help

          thanks for the help both

I haven't finished the design completely yet, it has just been a case of getting something live before christmas so that we can take advantage of the time of year and not sell everything direct through ebay now.

I have just updated our keywords to over 1200 now!

I do hope that is not the SAME 1200 keywords on *every* page, and indeed that you don't have 1200 keywords on any page.

Actually no, as you will see by our site we have several pages and there are soo many variations for every section, take sugar free for example, the list is huge.

All of keyword variations will be relevant to that particular page and nor will any 1 page have 1200 on it.

              thanks

What do you mean exactly, sorry what does KWD mean and getting stuffed for stuffing lol?

I haven't checked the amount of key words for any section yet, just done a total.

It is broken down into many different sections that we have on the site with also many sub section pages too.

There are possibly about 200 keywords for sugar free, but that will be spread between about 8 pages.

Is there any risks / penalties involved for using too many, none of the keywords will be repeated in any given section. All will have relevance to the page they are listed on.

                      thanks for any help

KWD is keyword density. Sound like you have a lot of reading to do.

Think about one primary keyword per page and then use the others to create the long tail (forum search to read about this)
