Newbie section links

Hi,

I am trying to put a list of top level section links on my page, what to I insert from the layout library,
Any help appreciated

If you insert TopLevelSectionList you can change the menu it uses from the Settings.

But when I do this no links appear, I have 7 sections,
What I have done is..

in the design tab, scroll down the just before the </BODY> tag and
place the code given,

after I press apply, there is no visual change, no links at all?
