    Multi user setup

    I have recently purchased a multi user version of Business v8. I have looked around to find out how to setup it up as multi user without any sucess.

    If there are instructions around I would be grateful if somebody could point me in the right direction. Seems strange the seup instructions for multi user do not come with the manual.

    Creating users aside (which you do on the master machine which contains your db), you install the software onto separate machines and when you load it for the first time, go into Sites and a button for selecting the sites folder will be visible.

    Select it and then navigate across your local network to where the Sites folder (do not descend into the sites folder) resides.

    Note: You may well need to map the main 'Sites' folder first of all, so you can ensure you get persistant connection from the user machine to the main db machine.

    Then, when ever they start Actinic, it will use the networked Sites folder as the startup db, and that should do the trick for you.
