Displaying a fragment in the overall template

Hi

I would like to include a small para or two of info that can be updated easily by the client in the overall page layout template.

It seems like an ideal thing for a fragment but can i isolate and display a 'fragment' like this.

I guess the alternative is to put it in a 'layout' but this seems a little counter-intuitive as 'layout' does seems the right place for 'content'.

Any ideas. Many Thanks.

Fragments are placed uniquely at section / page level .. just like a product but without all the add to cart guff.

If you assign 3 user defined variables (name, text, image filename) at the site level you can introduce these to each page and it would be relatively easy for your client to update and control. another option would be to keep the information in an external text file and use a PHP include (or a UDV filename include)... if they are HTML happy hardcoding into the layout is your other option but a bit messy.

i created two variables and set them to appear on a misc tab in Site Options. The client can edit them from there. Brilliant!
