You want to copy the subsection, but leave it empty (with no products)?
I do this all the time when I want to have the same product in multiple places of my catalog.
Copy the section or subsection and paste (sub-section) where you want it. Actinic will then tell you you need to create a unique product reference. Choose cancel and the empty subsection goes in. The only thing you have to be careful with is your page name will be copy_of_your_whatever.html and if you use the same subsection in several different places you get copy_of_copy_of_copy_of_whatever.html.
Is the wrong way to go about it?

Nowt wrong with that Kirk, although if you are new to actinic it is always advisable to create each one manually because actinic allows you to create a section without ever having seen the page name, there are some truly horrific page names out there.
In fact if you want to buy a 'copy_of' it will probably be one of the most used page names out there.

oh ok..I'd have assumed that hitting "cancel" would cancel the whole operation..but obviously only cancels the renaming/pasting of the contents.
Still, if your section has a lot of products in it, it could be time consuming cancelling each on in turn and might be quicker just to recreate the section in the first place.Tracey

I didn't realize it added 'copy_of' until just recently, and yeah, I have lots of 'copy_of' page names. D'oh!
I have to comb through and rename lots of them now. Just haven't mustered up the motivation to start yet. Sigh...
So other than the page name, are there any other little details that could cause problems if copying a section?
