    Are coupon codes case sensitive?

    Hi

Not managed to find out anything about this. We are being included in the AmEx Xmas promotion, and will provide a coupon code giving a 10% discount. However the Amex site which I am being asked to approve, duscks and dives between two versions of the coupon, one starting amex and one starting Amex. Does this matter? Should I tell them to be consistent?

    Any advice gratefully received.

    yes, they are case sensitive
you could always set up 2 though..one as "amex" and one as "Amex" (and possibly go all caps too, just to be safe!)

Lateral thinking, i like it Bumpsy, although why on earth it is case sensitive is beyond me.

Geek thinking - use numbers as these don't care whether the caps-lock is on or off

Someones cat would be holding the shift key down though and it would still fail lol. Even more lateral thinking though BUT not so easy to recall a catchy name or a descriptive name for the code.

We need Norman to hack the script to remove the case sensitivity.... and Kathy to round up the cats
