    Process question

    Am I right in concluding that there is no way of stopping a customer over ordering an item?

    For example if I have 5 items in stock, there is nothing to stop the customer ordering 6.

      Hello & yes,

      This works to a point.

      Taking my previous example, the customer would place their order. On retrieval of orders my stock level would update to -1 and the various warning threshold emails would be triggered.

      On updating the website the item would be become unavailable.

      However what I would really like to happen is that the customer could not place the order in the first place, make sense?

        Hi,

        I did try searching before posting, however refined the seach and found the threads you were referring to, which are very conclusive.

        I guess my only remaining question is has anyone got any experince of the third party tool mentioned (Moleend) to overcome this problem, good or bad?
