    Shared SSL

    Just uploaded a new site but there's a problem. Checkout asks for the card details before transferring to the shared SSL page then asks for them again on the next page. Any ideas?

    You haven't set your payment methods up correctly, check your choices in business settings.

      Thanks but they look okay to me. Two things bother me slightly:

      1) I keep getting "an invalid argument was encountered" errors Business Settings / Paymen & Security.

      2) I'm using 4surehosting but the "Click here for Provider registration and Information" leads to a non existent web page. I tried setting them up both as a listed provider and as an unlisted provider in case the details in Actinic are out of date but got the same problem both times.

        Well i'd still say they are setup wrong, you'd need to provide a URL or screenshots for further help.

            we still need to know how you've set up the payment tab as it is clearly wrong.

            the first request for card details is outside SSL.

                I would suggest it is a problem with the checkout layouts.

                I'd recommend backing up (important, in case this breaks anything!) and then trying to restore to the factory settings in the Library, especially Order 02 Bulk Area.

                  Done that and the problem is fixed. Thanks for all the help in resolving the issue.

                  One thing I noticed - it wouldn't let me revert Act_PrimaryCheckout (Upgraded) to factory settings (the option was greyed out). I'm wondering if this is an obsolete layout, as when I renamed the file on disk Actinic didn't seem to notice and carried on as previously, even to the extent of apparently checking the code in it and finding no errors.

                    'Act_PrimaryCheckout (Upgraded)' comes from your previous version of Actinic and is not a default layout, thats why you do not have the 'Revert to Factory Settings' option available. Change that in 'Settings | Site Options | Layout' by selecting a v8 template and you should then find the option available.
