I've setup some new products and where as normally I've linked them to a "hidden" product to track stock levels. This time I've done it slightly different.
I create the product
I create the Components (size & colour)
Fill the Permutation list. But not linked to a "hidden" product
The pricing is set to "sum of components" and "No. orderline for main product"
The Component is ticked "Component as Seperate Order Line"
The Price is set in the Permutations
That all seems fine. When I get an order for one of these new products. I view the order and it lists the product description and the Component options (i.e. the size & colour).
However when I print the Packing list or the Invoice it doesnt show the Product description just the Component choices.
Now I'm sure I need to tick or untick one the boxes somewhere but thought I'd get some advice first.
FYI - the reason I want to change the way I've worked before is that I want to just use the "Valid" tick box to denoted if a product can be ordered online or not. Given that Actinic can't handle stock levels just YES or NO stock I might as well just use the VALID criteria the same way. Any thoughts on that would be helpful too.
