A serious problem has suddenly appeared and i dont know why

    On the page

    http://www.clickteam.co.uk/acatalog/...Authoring.html

A giant white space has appeared between each product, and i cannot seem to remove it (and dont know how to)...im not sure how its happened....for some reason its only happened on the one section.

    Please help

Ah dont worry, ive made a new page, and readded the products (so that link no longer works), but im very wary as to why this might have happened, so if anyone knows of any bugs or reasons why this might have happened, please let me know.

The only thing i can think of recently that ive done, is add ALOT of discount codes, other than that, i havent done anything to that page.

      This is Strange

Ive added a new section, and everything was fine... then i added the products to the discounts and its shafted it again..

      WHAT IS GOING ON?

Anyone please help i must have discount codes applied to the products, but these big gaps make the website rubbish.

Its adding lots of page breaks for no apparent reason

        have you fixed it, Jason?
It looks ok to me (FF2 and IE7)
what screen resolution are you looking at it in?

can you attach a screenshot of the problem, if it's still happening

Ive fixed it for the moment, just by removing the products from the discount groups, there seems to be a bug in the discount options.

Unfortunately as my users get discount codes for various site license options i need to add them back to the discount groups.

Strange thing is that it seems to be ok if the products are added to one or two discounts, but if there are alot of them then it plays up

The page that is viewing ok now is :

            http://www.clickteam.co.uk/acatalog/...Authoring.html

Just think of that but add about 10 or 15 extra br's (lines after each product description), but before the dotted line

kinda hard to suggest what's wrong without seeing it

have you looked at it in Firefox with the Firebug or developer add-on?

Same problem existed in FF and IE

Here is an example of what it looks like, just made it in paint, but it shows the problem, but actually the gap is bigger than that.

we also need to see the page not working so we can see the underlying code to work out whats wrong.

Unfortunately to do that i would screw up a live running site, which would be bad

The site only went live today and i cant mess with it already. According to someone who checked the page before i removed it, it was putting in lots of <br>.... this has got to be a bug as it only happens when i add the three products in the same group to different discounts... im surprised no one else has had it...perhaps its just me

                      Just for some more information

I have 7 product groups, with one product in each group.

I have 50 discount codes, using coupons, some coupon codes are the same (eg i might have a code called JASON, this might apply to three different products, giving different % off).

thing is, Jason...somebody could probably guide you to the problem within a few minutes if we could actually see it on the live site
So I guess it's up to you what you choose to do.
Stick a dummy section up to show the problem?

Or upload an example of the problem in "test mode" in Actinic, thereby not affecting your live site.
We really need to see the underlying HTML code on the page in order to understand where/why the <BR/>'s are coming from.

Ive been testing it and its easy to reproduce,

Create your product groups assign 1 product to each group.

Create a discount at the Cart Contents Level. Ensure you are on the catalog page with the products on.

Create a new discount, at the cart contents level, enable it, put a trigger of 0.01, enable requires coupon code, type in Code... select the product group. Give a % or $ amount off, enter the reward amount.

By the time you click on Apply, the white space will appear on the page.

at this stage it is unknown if this affects only you or is widespread, therefore in order for me to look at this again I'd need to see it online.

Please help us to help you, ie upload a test site and tell us which version you are using
