Component prices not showing

ok have a look at this - is this what youre after?

I set up the components with retail price layout of basic price in brackets which then get pulled in to the drop downs ans also pricing of override with diff. values, i set the dummy product to 0.00

Yes this is the idea. Good in dropdown box and also in cart.

However, I didn't want to override the prices as my idea was to change prices in one area only - ie the associated products - easier for product price changes.

Also, do you note which component layout you are using -
if I use the standard layout, then prices do not show at all in the dropdown box (however the setup in brackets)
if I use the permutations layout then the dropdown box is fine, but the cart is terrible (2 lines or no prices at all).

Yes you do seem to have done something right but it is not working on my settings!
