cart contents dissapearing

    cart contents dissapearing

    Hi

    We are having a problem with a customers site. The website address is - http://www.estorebroker-processingce...usic/acatalog/

    The main problem we are having is that if you add an item into the cart, it says the item has been added however if you then go to checkout or view basket, it says that the cart is empty?!?

    Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this?

    Something is awry here. The add to cart works, and the cookie with the cart contents is created, however as soon as teh View Cart or Checkout scripts are called the cookie/cart information is destroyed.

    Without knowing any more about the background to this site's development I would say that there has been some script amendment somewhere to "empty" the cart, that is getting incorrectly called at the wrong point.

      Check your cart timeouts and make sure that they are something really big, also check that the items disspearing are not duplicates with hidden parents.

        From memory the site was originally built using v8.0 or 8.1 i think? The site was then upgraded to version 8.5.1

        Im not sure when this problem occured however it was working fine at one point.

        How do i check timeouts?

        There are some duplicated products however the 1st one on this page - http://www.estorebroker-processingce...log/Books.html (A Whiter Shade of Pale) is not a duplicated item and it has the same problem
