    customer e mails

    i get more e mails than i think i should from customers who say thet have not recieved confirmation when they place an order, any bugs? any tweeks?

    The only time that I have had a problems with emails is if they have paid by paypal.

    Try changing settings --> business settings --> ordering

    and in the box for send copy of recipet emails to put your email address.

    This will mean that you will be emailed when your customers does and you will be able to judge how many times this is happening

      yeah all network settings ok, and send email to customer checked,

      my customers do get emails but it will be 9-10 out of a hundred orders that wont, strange?

        Your emails are probably going into their spam folders. There is not much you can do about that.

          I get it with paypal, if they close the browser after payment you dont get one, there is a thread here about it

            Most PSP's return to receipt page automatically, if not maybe adding a click here to complete order.

              Oh louise i wish life was that simple unfortunately paypal is one of those people that do it differently, you are correct about the automatic bounce, most "real" psp's do but paypal you have to click, unfortunately most people close there browser and thus the email is not generated

                Bugger, another handfull of customers emailing me to say they have not recieved confirmation from us they had placed an order, however they do get an email from my cc processing company Worldpay to say order was placed?

                Very frustrating, anything i can do about this guys?

                    customer order confirmation emails

                    Mmmm still no real answer for me here, any idea boys and girls why some customers recieve order confirmation emails and some dont?

                      I think malc was giving you a clue, have you been editing the layouts, maybe something is missing, i have not looked at yours so cant tell you

                        9 or 10 out of 100 sounds about right to me.

                        The customer email only gets sent after the customer returns to the receipt page after paying. If they don't do this the email doesn't get sent.
