[GROUPLINK] - Not displaying Correctly

OK i have had a search around the forum without luck, does anyone use this LINK

I have set it up in my discounts, and am sure it is probably something i have done wrong but it does not work for me, it shows the code if you look at this page at the bottom of the product description you can see what i mean

Did you set up the product group?

If you are offering customers a selection of free products (a product group) they can choose from, then use [GROUPLINK] within this field where you want the link to appear. This group of products will be shown as a list of search results.

I have created a group - HQ Xmas Special and assigned products to it, these are not free, but they all get 10% off list price, i have then added the [GROUPLINK] to the product description but all i get is the code <a href="http://kitesrus.co.uk/cgi-bin/ss000002.pl?PG=&amp;NOLOGIN=1&amp;GROUPONLY=1">

is this not the way it was to be used ?

What are you attempting to link to at the bottom of your product ?

I believe this only works in conjunction with discounts.

In discounts you can specify the [GROUPLINK] text on the presentation tab.

You don't place the [GROUPLINK] in the product description. The link will appear automatically if selected for the discount on the contained group.

Hi Matt

OK i have put the products into groups, created the discount, entered the text in the grouplink box under the discount set up and then added the [GROUPLINK] to the products description

the way i understood this was that this would then show the text that i put in the box under the discount setup and when you click the link it showed would all the products under that group, but obviously i just get the code

Is this not the way it works?

You maybe missed my edit at the end of my post above.
You don't need to place [GROUPLINK] in the product description.

Duncan is correct, the GROUPLINK does not go in the product description, it goes as seen in the images above.

My Fault, i miss read the help "Desription For Product" is not the same as "Product Desription" hence the reason for putting it in the product description.

After all these years, amazing im still learning LOL
